Perry Pizza in Spokane: A Guide to the Perry District
Looking for South Perry Pizza? Here's who we are, who we aren't, and where to find the place you meant.
If you typed "South Perry Pizza" into a search box, we'll save you a click. South Perry Pizza is a restaurant on Perry Street in Spokane. We're not that restaurant, we're not connected to it, and this page isn't about its menu or its hours, because we don't know them and you shouldn't take our word for them.
We're Sometimes Pizza, a separate small-batch, pickup-only kitchen on the South Hill. You ended up here because the names rhyme and the neighborhood overlaps. So here's a straight answer about where to go next, and a little about the neighborhood, since it's a good one.
Finding the restaurant you meant
Go to the source. For hours, the menu, whether there's a wait, whether it's open on a given night, or whether it's taking orders right now, the restaurant's own website or phone number will always beat a page written by someone else. Hours change, especially around holidays. A third party's copy goes stale. Ours would too.
If you're meeting people there, ring first. That advice is true of every restaurant in Spokane, and we'd give it for ours as well.
What the Perry District is
The South Perry District sits south of downtown on the lower South Hill. According to Visit Spokane, it was one of the first Spokane neighborhoods to come into its own after years as a rundown area, and it's now known for its diversity and character. It's one of the walkable pockets that make the South Hill more than a big residential slope. We wrote about the rest of the hill in pizza on Spokane's South Hill.
What you'll find, per Visit Spokane's listing: a coffee shop, a brewery, a brewery-and-bakery, a French bistro, an Indian-Mexican place, a juice bar, a burger spot and a pizza restaurant. Shops include a natural foods store, a thrift store, plus a bookshop and a few boutiques. A good night there is mostly a matter of parking once and walking.
The Thursday market
The Perry Street Thursday Market runs Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm, May through October, at Grant Park at 10th and Perry, per the market's own site. It marked its 23rd season in 2025. It takes cards and EBT/SNAP, and it also accepts WIC and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program vouchers. Check the site before you go, since dates can shift.
It's a good place to see what's growing around Spokane in a given week, which matters because a short growing season is behind a lot of how we plan a menu.
Who we are, and how that's different
A sit-down restaurant has a room, staff, a menu you can order from on the spot, and set hours you can plan around. A walk-in is fine.
We're built the other way around. We make a limited number of pies for a given evening, from dough that has fermented cold for a day or more. You order ahead on our site and pick a pickup time. There's no dining room and no walk-in counter. We don't deliver either. Pickup details arrive with your order confirmation, and we don't publish the address.
Neither model is better. If it's Friday at 6 pm and you want a seat and a drink, you want a restaurant. If you can plan a few days ahead and want your pie to go into the oven just before you arrive, that's what we're for. We explain why we cap the night in why we keep it small.
If you do want what we make
Long cold-fermented dough, stone-baked, with a plain margherita always on the menu and the rest following the season. The current menu is the live list, and the ordering page shows which days and pickup times are open.
If you're still deciding what kind of pizza you want, Spokane-style pizza covers what the city's pizza is and isn't. For the dough itself, crust matters is the reasoning, and the overnight pizza dough is a recipe you can make yourself.
